Cheesy in the way that entretemps short stories and novellas tend to be, which is fine, because that's what the reader expects. This isn't for the reader who is new to the series - you have to have read 1-5 to have sufficient investment to even understand this novella. It served as a cute way to fill in the blanks on the way to book 6.

I'm not sure why Lotario had to "drawl" every single time he spoke, though. He's my favorite secondary character (maybe tied with Jin?), and that drawling bit was a tad distracting.

What a sweet little story! I really loved everything about this. I have not read the previous books in the series, so it means a lot to me that I liked it so much. Shows how good of a writer Sabrina Flyyn is. I might have to go back and read the rest.
