Another great by Kylie. Not in the least surprised. The De Bellis guys are all soooo good, but from the beginning I couldn't wait for Santo's story. And I wasn't disappointed. Your heart hurts for him. Watching his grief through the other books, and then watching it transform and heal in his story was just soooooo good. Aria was amazing. Perfect amount of strength and innocence to help put Santo together and heal the cracks. And her friendship with Drew was great. Great book to start 2025 with!

Kylie Kent’s A Sinner’s Truth is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the unexpected ways life can change course when we least expect it. Through the alternating perspectives of Santo De Bellis and Aria Swan, Kylie Kent crafts a story that is both emotionally charged and deeply romantic, weaving together themes of grief, healing, and the pursuit of freedom.
Santo is a man haunted by his past—a tragic night that shattered his world and left him emotionally frozen. The vivid descriptions of his grief pull readers into his pain, creating an immediate connection with his journey. His reluctance to embrace life again feels authentic, making his character both relatable and compelling. The depth of his loss and the way it shapes his decisions lend a poignant edge to his narrative.
Aria, on the other hand, is a character full of fire and determination. Her desperation to escape her father’s oppressive plans gives her a sense of urgency and courage that contrasts beautifully with Santo’s guarded approach to life. Her plan to marry Santo is bold, and her vulnerability is evident as she navigates the consequences of her choice. The chemistry between the two is electric, and their arrangement, while practical, quickly becomes a dance of emotions they both try to resist.
Kylie Kent’s storytelling shines in her ability to balance the romance with the characters’ personal growth. The evolution of Santo and Aria’s relationship feels organic, moving from a pragmatic arrangement to something deeper and more meaningful. The tension between their initial indifference and their growing attraction keeps the reader engaged, while moments of tenderness reveal the fragility beneath their tough exteriors.
The supporting cast of characters adds depth to the narrative, particularly Santo’s family, whose well-meaning interventions provide moments of levity and warmth. The cultural and familial pressures Aria faces are also well-portrayed, adding layers to her motivations and making her struggles feel real.
A Sinner’s Truth* is not just a love story—it’s a tale of finding solace and hope after heartbreak. It delves into the complexities of human connection and reminds us that sometimes, the most unexpected relationships can lead to the greatest healing. With its compelling characters, emotional depth, and captivating romance, Kylie Kent’s novel is a beautifully written and satisfying read that lingers long after the last page is turned.
