Dit boek heeft een lange sleep van inzichten vanuit meiden die allen wat met Tom en Scott te maken hebben. Best intens. Aan het einde een enorme plottwist, die het hele verhaal in een ander licht zet. Wow... niets is wat je denkt...

sooooo slowwwwwwwwwww. I liked the female comradery at the end though.

Such a captivating read, keeps you guessing at every turn. I really loved the way the story was told from different points of view, each character's feelings so raw and real. I listened to the audiobook, the different narrators for different characters was a great touch. Just an FYI, I havent yet watched the movie so I went into the book with no prior info.

The writing really wasn't that bad, and the character motivations made a degree of sense.  Still, things could have been tied together a bit better.

I really didn't like Rachel she sucked just always doing the wrong thing girl needs to go to rehab immediately. Then there's Megan the bloody sex addict she needed to go to a therapist who is like an ugly woman or something and Anna always running around scared of Rachel which to be honest isn't a bad idea she's not in very good control of herself.

Huh. I was planning all these awesome things to say about this one, then I finished and I'm nothing but... underwhelmed. People liked this better than Gone Girl? Why? I'm not being sassy, I'm curious. I loved Rachel but I don't think Tom was well written. And Anna was fabulously nasty. I'm still confused though- was Megan sleeping with the shrink or not? Ugh. I'd have to say three stars. Not even three and a half. Sorry lady.

This book is a disappointment. Everyone seemed to be raving about this book when it was released to the public and I, for one, was intrigued about this suspense psychological thriller. When I finally got the time to read it, well, I was disappointed. All my expectations for a "great" book dissolved. Though it began quite excellently, Hawkins' story deteriorated by the middle and ultimately ended feeling rushed and strained. The revelation felt like an after-thought; it's as if Hawkins didn't plan for *Spoiler* to be the killer. And Rachel, goddammit, Rachel. I expected so much more from this book, but *sigh*
