At times it's pretty racist. The mystery idea is interesting though. Very convoluted but fun to figure out.
I think this is the only Agatha Christie book where I've successfully guessed the murderer halfway through and I'm quite pleased with myself. A lighthearted (as murders go) Marple story.

This is one of my favorite Marples. It has a solid mystery and an interesting cast. I love the relationship between Miss Marple and Mr Rafiel. There is quite a lot of gentle, subtle humor to appreciate and plenty of clues and red herrings relating to the mystery.

In the past, I haven't been as taken with Miss Marple as with Poirot, but I quite enjoyed this one. The mystery was also very good - extremely twisty but wrapped up neatly by the end.
