3.75 ⭐️ I am very grateful to have received an arc of this book!! I think the concept was very fun and an interesting concept I think I was just left wanting more overall which definitely could be explored in the next book.

Ollie’s is for starters a really cool spunky character!! BUT whole character at the beginning revolves around saving her friend from a disappearance and towards the end it’s barely even mentioned.

Wraith is one of my fav characters - big fan of him!!!

Ryker was kinda meh to me I just wanted more and his stubbornness at the beginning got a lil old

Overall I think it a fun concept and Ollie is super fun I just wanna see more overall world development and character development since those to me fell flat as the book went on

This book is a lot of fun to read! I absolutely adored Ollie, her sarcasm and whit were perfection. This is really more of action fantasy than romantic fantasy. I loved all of the fighting the battles hall had great detail. It really was beautiful. I would give the spice a 2. Like it’s there but it’s light. The thing I struggled with is just the age of the characters. They are supposed to be 30-40 but they really felt more like 17-25. Part of that may be the fact that they live long lives but it did keep pulling me out of the story a little. While I did greatly enjoy this book and I am looking forward to the rest of the series, it isn’t quite soul consuming level good.

Wow – I devoured this book! Fury and Flame is a fantasy romance, following Ollie and Ryker. They, along with the king’s son, look to oust the fae queen from her stolen throne. Along the way, Ollie is drawn to Ryker; however, Ryker’s heart is closed off. As they continue to work together, will feelings take root?

Ollie is my girl. She’s sassy, snarky, and stubborn. She may not have many friends, but she’s loyal to those she has. Ryker is beaten down after having to deny his mating bond. Wraith is a lot of fun – I love him popping up mentally every now and again. And the animal crew? I’m here for it.

This story has it all – love, loss, action, pain, a bit of comic relief, spice. I can’t wait for the second book to come out!

Special thanks to the author for the ARC. All thoughts in this review are honest and my own.

Thank you to the author for gifting me with this as an ARC.

This book helped cure my ACOTAR hangover. Similar vibes, with an engaging plot line that I was sad to see end. This gave me if ACOTAR and Tamora Pierce had a baby, it would be Fury and Flame.

The characters are well written, with flaws and feelings and big personalities all wrapped up in these gorgeous badass warriors.

Also can I just say, that as an animal science major, letting the main character walk around with a bat in her hair is like my new favorite thing? Absolutely incredible book, I devoured it.
