In this fifth installment of the Women's Murder Club series, Lindsay Boxer must solve a string of homicides in San Francisco, California. The bodies of women are being left throughout the city in parked luxury vehicles. Not only does Lieutenant Boxer have this case to solve, but there are also a large amount of deaths at first attributed to negligence on the part of Municipal Hospital. The loved ones of the deceased sue the hospital for gross negligence and win a substantial settlement. But Lieutenant Boxer must discover if this is the whole story, or if there is in fact a killer on the loose in the hospital as well. Boy, does she have her hands full?
Although this book may not be the best of the series, I did enjoy it. I probably just still missed the attorney from the earlier books, Jill Bernhardt, and I haven't warmed up to her replacement, attorney Yuki Castellano, yet, although she did appear in the fourth book. Sometimes, you need a bit of time to warm up to a new character, especially if you've already gotten attached to a character who isn't in the series anymore. Why did Patterson have to get rid of Jill? Why?

What can I say? I love James Patterson. I love his Characters. The story is somewhat predictable so far. This is a quick read. No complicated story lines, just a nice, even and entertaining read.

The fifth installment of the Women’s Murder Club has Lindsay and crew searching for a killer who may not even be there. When a wrongful death suit brings attention to a local doctor and hospital accused of killing otherwise healthy patients by prescribing the wrong medication, suspicion is thrown on everyone.
To make matters worse, Yuki’s mom is recuperating in that very hospital and no one can decide if their fear is rational or not. Lindsay and the WMC find themselves searching for answers that are hard to find while the clock is ticking away and worry of another dead patient.
Plus, the long distance relationship between Lindsay and Joe is starting feel the strain and compromise their future.
I’m starting to get into familiar territory with the books and what I remember more. I know there’s some good juicy stuff coming up and I’m anxious to finally get to the 9th Judgment.

Maxine Paetro is a pretty decent author. She'll do fine, once she writes a book on her own, without Patterson pretending to have written it.
The whodunnit on this was a little too twisty for my liking. And I felt the B storyline, with the Car Girls, started so strong and then screeched to a halt. I would've liked a little backstory there. It's not like it was just some little crime. Those were huge, everyone was oh, boo hoo, these poor girls, SRS Business, then boom, done, hey, let's have some margaritas.
I guess it was a nice twist, though. ::shrug::

Five books into the series and they are still interesting enough to continue on though there were parts in this one that I feel could definitely have been left out.
