The writing was pretty good and the characters were likable, but this is easily the 3rd or 4th time this plot has been used. The Erins Hunter really need to find a new plot device for the next arc to keep it readable. I think they left it off in a good spot to develop a new plot, let’s hope they use it wisely.

This book was intense, perfect way to end A Starless Clan.
The recapping is as always good again in this book and Erin Hunter yet again nailed it with the prologue.
I was very invested in this book and it had the perfect length, feeling like a final through and through without a dull moment.
I like comparing the A Starless Clan series with The Prophecies Begin, because Frostpaws story makes me just so nostalgic for Firepaw. But I liked that Splashtail felt very different and unique to Tigerstar in this book, it didn’t make it feel repetitive. I especially enjoyed just how evil the scheming got in this book, it was so damn interesting.
The negative tension between the cats was brilliant and the battles were glorious. Though I did not like the way the story briefly connected to Ivypool’s Heart, because it made it feel for a moment, that Starclan didn’t see the events in Riverclan as important.
I did love the ending though.
Absolutely enjoyed myself with this book.

The conclusion to A Starless Clan's arc was exciting, it starts off with one of the most horrific moments I've read in Warriors and just gets more and more twisted from there. Definitely an end worthy of reading the series.

It was really good. It left me wanting more. Fun Fact: It takes the Erin hunter team about 3 months to right a book. Yes, Erin Hunter is a team of authors. Not one person. Warning don't read unless you have finished the book. Spoiler >
Take that SplashTAIL Your not splashstar and you never will be. Go Frostpaw. Or should I say Frostdawn. I think that night heart and sunbeam should be on the list of best warrior cat couples.
