Rick Riordan mentioned Frank Ocean in a book and my life has been changed forever.

After what I thought was a bit of a rocky start to the series in the first installment, I think the characters really come into their own here. Apollo is still Apollo, but he's more endearing now, and is learning to think about others besides himself, even if some things about him never change. The supporting cast is also larger, and features a few more familiar faces from Riordan's previous books, which never hurts for a long-time reader like me.

Much better

You see minor improvements of Apollo’s character by the end of the first book but he gets much better in this one. It was nice to see Leo again! I love his humor. This book was exciting and dark and everything in between. I hope this isn’t the last we see of the Waystation.

4,5 because there were too many references for me. I don’t like the way Apollo talks but whatever I like these stories. I did love the character development and the way all these backstories made me cry more than any other sad book I’ve read this year (besides heartstopper 4 that one was bad(in the made me cry too much sense)). I LOVE that Meg summoned
Grover
since he was one of my favorite characters in the PJO series!
