Bride or Die- Luke, Claire, and Rosie
What a great first read. A tad long, but read quicker than I thought it would. So let’s begin…
Claire is an event planner of sorts..a proposal planner. She helps the person that is going to propose, plan and execute the perfect proposal. The requests can be insane but she pulls it off every time. She has awards to prove it. Then there is Wendy, a neurotic nemesis, the not winner of the awards, always trying to steal her ideas. Oh, Wendy is also the one her fiancé slept with…yeah! So Claire is going about her daily life, making dreams come true when women start disappearing. When her former college roommate is one of those women, Claire starts to get really nervous. Throughout all this, she is planning the most important proposal of all, her best friends.
Luke is a videographer and has just moved back to town. His best friend wants to propose to his girlfriend (yes, this would be the same girl above, Claire’s bff) and Luke has been brought in to help with the day. So when Luke and Claire meet up for the first time to discuss the plans, things could not go worse. They don’t see eye to eye at all. But as time goes on, Claire starts to see a different side to Luke.
I enjoyed this a lot. I really like Luke and knew from the beginning he was going to be a sweety. I could have stood a few less pages but it was still very entertaining and I look forward to seeing Luke, Claire and Rosie in the future.

I really tried to get into this book quickly but found myself struggling a fair bit. I really enjoyed the mix of romantic suspense and rom com and also found myself really enjoying the characters. I found this to be a really interesting and fun read overall.
rom com with a touch of cozy mystery
Bride or Die is the debut book by Madison Score. The book reminds me a bit of Riley Score series by her sister Lucy Score. Bride or Die is a rom com with a cozy mystery vibe. Claire, our female main character, is an event/wedding proposal planner. Some of her proposals are way over the top but suit each couple she plans them for. There are some funny moments throughout the book. She meets Luke, who is best friend’s with her best friend’s boyfriend. They team up to help plan a secret proposal for her best friend. This is a slow burn between Claire and Luke. I enjoyed the book and like the cozy mystery aspect a bit more. I do want more of Claire and Luke so I will be reading the rest of the series when they are published.

I found this a bit hard to get into initially but overall I really enjoyed this book. Hats off to this debut author for keeping my interest. I found the to-do lists at the start of each chapter a bit unnecessary and a little distracting. I love a romance thriller and I enjoyed almost all elements of this read!

This was good. A solid read. Luke the MMC is dumb. He’s evidently some incredible documentary maker but the proposal planner is a better mystery solver than he is. Anyways I will be reading book 2 and hoping that Luke is improved.
Bride or Die by Madison Score
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This story exceeded all my expectations and gave me a book I didn’t know I needed. Madison Score is an extremely talented writer and the plot line was amazing. I normally struggle with suspense because I can usually guess who is behind everything, but this book kept me on my toes the whole time. If you love romantic comedies and suspense, then this book is definitely for you!
