This light-hearted rom-com was just that! I really enjoyed the ease of reading this - it wasn't too heavy, but it wasn't flimsy or fluffy either.
The story follows Nora and Sebastian as they meet - and then immediately jump into fake dating their respective best friends. I love that the author didn't string the reader along with miscommunication for the sake of it, I love that although there was a bit of "insta-love" - you really see it and understand WHY these two fall in love with each other.
As an Italian, I love that my culture was not made into a farce (as usually happens when it is used as part of a plot). I'm taking off half a star for the one "Sopranos" joke - but otherwise, the author was mostly culturally accurate and respectful.
Giving this a 4-star rating for the rom-com category - this book was funny, sweet and would be a great light hearted read for anyone who wants something easy and stress free.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A fun twist on the fake dating trip with two couples in a fake dating relationship! There were so many cute and humorous moments, I was laughing out loud during so much of this book. Sebastian and Nora are both in fake dating scenarios, but can’t fight their attraction to each other. The plot is quick moving, and the character arcs are well done! Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Entangled Publishing for the arc.

This book is an absolute delight—a charming blend of humor, romance, and heat. The double fake dating plot, paired with multi-POV (Nora and Sebastian), creates a captivating read. The meet-cute in the bookstore was perfect. They have plenty of witty banter and spicy scenes throughout the story which made the book unputdownable. Nora and Sebastian's dynamic is wonderfully engaging, and the supporting characters add an extra layer of enjoyment. I couldn’t have asked for a more entertaining read.

I loved the vibrant family dynamics in The Great Dating Fake Off by Livy Hart. The large Italian rival families added so much charm and depth to the story, making it feel like a lively and heartwarming backdrop. Sebastian and Nora were such delightful characters, and their instant love connection, while quick, was undeniably cute and filled with chemistry. The story really heats up halfway through, with the romance taking a steamier turn that adds an exciting twist. It was a fun, engaging read that kept me hooked from start to finish.
The book was honestly okay, smut scenes were good. But I agree with what some others have said about their being too many characters and their arcs. If it was done in a more conducive way, I feel like it would have been better.
The Great Dating Fake Off was fun, flirty, and full of familial fireworks. When Nora agrees to be her best friend's fake girlfriend for a wedding week, she doesn't expect to bump into Sebastian, a man she previously met and had sparks with. Sebastian is also faking a relationship to survive the week. The wedding they are both attending are with two rival Italian families and it's just as over the top as you'd expect. I enjoyed that the fake dating concept was not about the two in the same fake relationship. The family relationships were exhausting at times, but felt realistic for a big family. The two MCs had a lot of chemistry and it was easy to fall in love with them as a couple.

Livy Hart always brings the heat, and this story is no different. There are sparks between Nora and Sebastian from the start when they have a chance meeting at her bookstore, but things really heat up when they are both plus ones at a family wedding that has all the makings of a modern day Hatfield & McCoy situation. With the bride & groom's families at odds, Nora & Seb partner up to try and keep the peace but end up falling into bed instead. Unfortunately, they are discovered by the mother of the bride and all hell breaks loose and the wedding is called off.
At this point, the story takes a turn and the reader gets a little more immersed in the saga of Rosalina and Enzo, the ill fated bride and groom. To be frank, while I don't quite understand how this couple got together in the first place, I found their love story more enjoyable and platable than Nora and Sebastian. Curious if other readers feel the same in the end about the supporting characters in this book versus the main characters.
