So much sex. Like each chapter. When there was a plot it was good, but much of the book was just them having sex. There was a lot of betrayal in this book. The ending was very abrupt. This book was good but ehh.

Honestly, this book isn’t that great. The first book was meh and I was thinking maybe it would get better with a second book, I was wrong. It both has a ton of plot points / twists and turns while being exceptionally dull. I wanted to stop reading halfway through but thought it must get better, it didn’t. And while it leaves off on a cliffhanger I won’t be reading any other book from this series. They’re just boring.

Very close to giving this 2. Too much going on, a bit of chaos and random bits that either didn't serve the story at all or enough. Couldn't read the last third.

s_r96's review against another edition

DID NOT FINISH

These are not the same characters from book 1. I refuse to believe it. Did the author just forget their personalities during the writing break?

I cannot get over how much I loved this book. Isolde is a badass and the way she could bring Adrian to his knees... Scarlett has a way of making her FMC strong, intelligent, powerful women.
If you love enemies to lovers, vampires, strong FMC, morally grey, touch her and die MMC, this is a book for you!

2.5 rounded up to 3 stars. This book really didn’t do it for me. I can tell that the author really attempted to give a good backstory for the main characters, but the plot was so discombobulated in a way that made it feel as if the editor had just been lazy. The spice was appreciated, but at the end of the day, if all a book has is good spice but a disconnected plot, it’s not a good read. I’m interested to see if this series will get better as the author finishes it. I’ll look out for the following book and give it a shot.
