“See you later, Percy Jackson. Go save the world for me, okay?”

THIS BOOK WAS FIRE !!!! the description of the maze got me screaming, is amazing how it managed to make me feel claustrophobic. The characters were so funny and interesting and pls don’t get me started with Calypso or Rachel Elizabeth Dare <3. And finally i’m getting why everyone says Percy is an unreliable narrator bc my boy is overpowered.

i can’t wait for the next book, i want to know more of Luke and Nico’s plan !!! ahhhhh

Only one book to go and no release date for the new show. I’ll have to read the next one slowly.

A reread. Haven't touched this book since I was in early high school. So this definitely has been like 10 years. I tried to read the new PJO book and I was surprised with how much the characters had changed and evolved and even how borderline immature the book was. I mean this one is written for a younger audience. But even at 30 (well close to 30) I found TBOTL well written, entertaining, face-paced, talked about bigger issues (Pan and nature disappearing), all while have some humor aimed at middle school/high school kids. But nothing like the new PJO which is all horribly butchered main characters and filled with potty humor.

Anyway, I liked this one a lot and forgot how much I truly did enjoy this one out of the whole series. What I would give for Lee Fletcher to have survived the Battle of the Labyrinth.
