The writing is really hard to get through and the story line feels forced

book was so hard to read, i was bored out of my mind. also really hated how mmc touched the fmc while she was literally unconscious. also just had so many unthought out nuances

The heroine of this one is a scientist and when we meet her she is running late for work in best romantic comedy style; that was kind of cute, but her voice is ditzy and when she starts discussing her job it is more "oh gosh time to do science things, because I sure do love science!" What type of science is never articulated (although she and her best also-science-doing buddy have a lengthy discussion about romantic comedies, so at least she's an expert in something). She's worried about being late because if she is more than 30 minutes late she will get docked half a day's pay by the boss, who is a non-scientist who wears suspenders and lurks, with joy, waiting to catch the heroine being late (and also to sexually harass her). This is... not any lab or science job I have ever seen. Like, come on. Then suddenly they're going home to their dorms and they're actually on a colony ship, which I guess I missed, but also, really, "Notting Hill" is still a thing on a futuristic colony ship? Really? The world-building is just so sloppy I couldn't continue, basically.

At nearly 200 pages it's just a lot of her being dehydrated and him wanting to find some plant 🤷🏻‍♀️ not bad, I'm just bored
