God, I love Ugetsu so much. I was not expecting to see him at all and when I saw him again I was filled with such fondness it was unbearable. His relationship with Mafuyu and seeing them with each other like that, and Ugetsu being the one to drag Mafuyu to the concert to face the things and people he needed to face was such a beautiful conclusion to this volume.

 As a whole this wasn't that satisfying of an ending to the series as it didn't feel like a conclusion for most of the character. After 8 volumes with this cast I wish the final volume gave more time and weight to their characters and relationships as it was only Mafuyu and maybe Ugetsu who got a proper send off.

However, it was a completely heart wrenching and lovely end for Mafuyu's journey.

I'll miss his story.

Alright buddy on the shelf you go... I'm in severe emotional distress. 

Why I chose to read this, knowing I would cry reading it, right after I finished another book that also made me cry is beyond me. But I found this volume to be such a sweet ending to Mafayu's journey. I'm sad that it's over, but I'm happy to have been introduced to this series so early in my manga journey and I'm excited to revisit the series in the future.
