3.5 - the first Salman Rushdie I've tried. Really well read and written by the author. Terrible attack, determined recovery and contemplation. Thought the parts on individuals known by their middle names and how a knife, unlike a gun, has many uses, were very interesting. Quite medical at times (from non-medical patient perspective), interesting on security etc.

Riveting read. Not a fan of his fiction. This gives insight into his character as well as being a gripping account of his survival and recovery from a devastating attack
