Alexei and Sean's wedding!!! FIRE IN THE HEART brings us this beautiful moment and I'm so glad we got to see their wedding. Alexei and Sean have been through so much across this series and they deserve their happiness together. Of course things go a little sideways on their honeymoon when they get pulled into a mission with Colonel Liam Wessex. A little bit of action and a sexy romance made for another amazing book in the METAHUMAN FILES series.

Favorite Quotes:

“Dinner ran long because Alexei wanted dessert twice,” Sean replied.

Caleb made a pained face. “Please tell me that’s not a euphemism.”

Alexei... sigh.

My love for you grows and grows.

That is all.

My heart was so full enjoying Sean and Alexei's wedding.
I feel like anything that was going to be written for their wedding I was going to love but there were so many little details that just made it perfect.
Also hello Oliver and Liam, can't wait to see you two next book!

I heart Alexis and Sean

Their poor honeymoon! But when you’re needed...

I loved the action and the sex. I liked meeting the mi6 guy and can see potential with Liam. I look forward to more books as there are still loose ends.

When I heard there's a new Classified Novella coming out, I was thrilled.
When it turned out to be about Sean and Alexei's wedding, I was over the (honey-)moon.

And Fire in the Heart was exactly as great as expected!

Content warnings include: violence, sex on-page, on-page gambling, hostage situation, burning, electrocution; mentions of terrorism, torture, PTSD, terrorism.

It had all the good things that make a Metahuman Files story: the wonderful large cast, a good dose of action, heart-melting love between the established couple(s), and a lot of money is spent.
My one complain would be that it was too short! I would have loved to get even more details (as always), especially about the wedding and the honeymoon and all the things going on around it.

As usual, many of the well-known side characters were present, and there was even a new addition I can't wait to see more of.

While the most important plot-revelant and other details were recapped and I'm sure even readers new to the series would enjoy this story, I do think it's best read in order with the other books and not as a standalone.

I received an ARC and reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I loved that Alexei and Sean got married in this one. These two deserved their happy ending. I loved every bit of it.

It's not surprising that they got stuck in some kind of trouble on their honeymoon. With this series, I would expect nothing less. I did like seeing Liam again. And I'm guessing we got a sneak preview of sorts about what Liam's book will be about with Oliver.

My fave summer blockbuster series is back! And this time it has a wedding amidst all the explosions.

This is such a relaxing read for me, honestly. I love the vibe of the series, I love the worldbuilding, the characters, and romances, and action. Every time it’s an absolute joy to return to this world.

Another short from Hailey Turner’s Metahumans.
This little short was awesome as we finally get to have a wedding.
Sean and Alexei finally tie the knot and it was perfect

And then of course, this is a Hailey Turner book. All hell breaks loose just as our boys get comfy in their honeymoon suite.
There is a lot of explosions and guns going off and Alexei getting angry because he is on his honeymoon.

Lots of fast paced action to draw you in.
It was a good romp and a nice addition to the Metahuman Universe.
Only drawback was at the beginning, there was a lot of backstory fill in and information dumps. I was this close to closing the book.
