Review - It gives us an insight into the possible thoughts and motives of these two Queens, as well as Lady Rochford, Jane Boleyn, the sister-in-law of Anne Boleyn, Katherine Howard's cousin. One thing which I do think could have been improved in this book is more about Anne Boleyn and the events of May 1536, which Katherine must naturally have been curious about and which Jane Boleyn had been a part of. The Boleyn Inheritance shows a contrasting approach of two different Queens: Anne of Cleves and Katherine Howard. It follows The Other Boleyn Girl which follows The Constant Princess. It is well-written and constructed.

I enjoyed this book as I love Gregory's style, however I thought she oversimplified Katherine Howard's personality a bit, it seemed like she was portrayed as ignorant or even stupid, just because she was young. Would still recommend though, and I loved the characterisation of Anne of Cleves!

Another great book by Gregory. She has a way of making the story intriguing and exciting (and horrifying) even though I know the outcome before-hand. She is a master at weaving fiction with true events.
