As a young queer person, this book has helped me understand lesbian and feminist culture from before I was born better than almost anything else - the infighting, relationship struggles, politics... my views on modern queer culture changed while reading this.

dyke fucking drama!!!!!! they’re all such bad decisions makers and so dramatic (except the loml lois macgiver). such a fun and funny read. shows that lesbian and political discourse has been the same for 30 years. amazing
7.5/10 or 4/5 & physical book

Really good. Good storylines and character arcs. Really funny. And very interesting to read about what issue were important and discussed at the time, many that are still discussed today.
I first read this in 2017 - it was sooo so valuable re-reading it now, at my current age and political hellscape. in my first reading, i probably resonated most with all of the different things and ways a dyke could be.
this time new things hit differently. the ways the characters share homes, raise kids and interweave their lives messily. the narratives around polyamory and transness - how these shift over time. all of the commentary on the fucked conserv tive governments and queer rights and protests and the genocidal american empire.
the way these ideas were played with over a 30ish year period! I love seeing how the language and principles shift. how much changes and how much stays the same, even now, almost 20 years after the last comic in this anthology. its so reassuring to read books that trace the lineages of queers before me - real or imaginary
