Freaking love this book.

I devoured this book in like three sittings. I'm jealous of everyone who gets to enjoy this for the first time and love going back and reading it again!

Alison Bechdel, a hug from one dyke to another for this fabulous body of work.

Alison Bechdel has a new book coming out this spring that promises to be autofiction with references to the characters from Dykes to Watch Out For — so it seemed like a good time to revisit this “half op-ed column and half endless serialized Victorian novel” (as Bechdel has called it). I wound up with three books going at once, and this is the one I reached for the most. I loved spending time with these characters, and their political conversations felt ever-timely, despite the decades of time.

This reminded me of the L Word how it details the community and friendships between lesbians. I loved hearing the lesbian celebs narrate it, it was a fun listening experience.

An absolute classic. Essential reading! Shows how the same gopics have been haunting us for decades now.
