This had been on my tbr for sooo long! Spanning from the 80s to the early 2000s, you really get to know each of these characters. You follow their lives and how they intertwine with (scarily still relevant) politics and an ever-changing world. I was so sad to realize I had gotten to the last page since I was so wrapped up in these characters’ lives! It’s entertaining, funny (love the gags), and explores a variety of queer experiences. This is my L word

A treasure and a wonder of a collection, "Dykes to Watch Out For" speaks to lesbian/queer culture in a way that I find not only relatable, but very heartwarming. I fell in love with each of Bechdel's characters, and it was special to take my time reading their 20+ year development. The political trials they face were technically before my time, but the way they discuss them feels true to how my own friends and I process and discuss current events. "DtWof" reignited a sense of queer resilience, and queer joy, when I have been most in need of these.

This was a fascinating historical document. What a series of snapshots, and also, depressingly plus ca change.
