Chasing after James Lacey once again, Agatha heads to Cyprus. But what she hopes will be a joyous reunion instead turns into the usual murder and misdirection, this time on foreign soil with a policeman who's not as amiable as Bill Wong.
This was a fun romp, enlivened with some of what are apparently Beaton's favorite fun facts about Cypriot history and archaeology. Very enjoyable, as usual.

Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist by M.C. Beaton
I love the Agatha Raisin series and this one is no exception. They're great easy reads with brilliant characters, especially the titular Agatha Raisin. The plots are excellent and I never normally work out who the culprit is.

I have to be honest, I have skipped a few, I literally just went 'Book to read' and picked this from a list of around 97 other unread books on my Kindle when I needed something to read waiting for the chemist to open.
That said, it wasn't a bad outing for Agatha Raisin, though I did keep on questioning her choices throughout, It wasn't my favourite of the MC Beaton novels and I will be picking something from earlier. I think that having based it in Cyprus the cosy aspect we get when the novels are in Carsely was somewhat lost (unfortunately). Also, I so wanted her to figure out James was a jackass earlier on. I am sure he has his reasons (which I will find out later, no doubt) but his character was repulsive in this book.

James is a real dud and so is Charles, always making Agatha pay for dinner.
Another entertaining chapter in my audio books, this one takes us to Corfu. I love that there are different narrators for each character. It makes it so much more thrilling!
In this sixth delightful outing, Agatha travels to the north of Cyprus, only to contend with her estranged fiance, an egregious group of truly terrible tourists, and a string of murders as scorching as the Greek sun.
I feel like a lot of this one was a history lecture in the beginning. There were quite a few history info dumps.
Not one of my favorites and I don't particularly appreciate how James treats Agatha. At least Charles was a perk.
