The sixth in the Agatha Raisin cosy mystery series.
Harmless amateur sleuthing. Good fun.

Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist by M.C. Beaton
I love the Agatha Raisin series and this one is no exception. They're great easy reads with brilliant characters, especially the titular Agatha Raisin. The plots are excellent and I never normally work out who the culprit is.

I really can't stand James, and I cannot stand the way Agatha lets him treat her. I mean, someone tried to kill her and he left. WTH? Also, what right does he have to act like a jealous jerk? She's gotta grow some backbone.
The sixth installment in the Agatha Raisin series was a good story. I love following the quirky opinionated amateur detective Agatha. She is amazing and I love everything about her personality.
For those that don’t know who Agatha Raisin is, she is a middle aged woman living in the Cotswolds in England, who has moved from a upper class life style as a lawyer in London.
Each book follows her as she is now living in this small village, chasing her neighbour James, trying to win his love, while also getting caught up in every murder that occurs around her and wanting to be a amateur detective to try solve the case. Even though the police tell her not to get involved.
This installment see’s Agatha following James to North Cyprus, where once finding James they meet a group of people, and one is murdered.
Agatha and James pair up to try solve the murder that has taken place. This installment shows the tension between the two of them, as well as Agatha having a fling with someone from back home that happens to be in Cyprus as well, causing her to question her love for James, adding to the tension as well when James finds out.
The jealousy that comes from James became a bit frustrating as he would tell Agatha that their relationship was over. But was acting like a jealous child. Being set away from the Cotswolds as well made it not as enjoyable as the previous books. The stories are more enjoyable set back in their hometown.
Overall the murder case was good, I did enjoy the book, but not as much as the previous in the series.
