this was the perfect fun summer romance read. i really really really enjoyed this book. right off the bat, i loved cassie and tate. both of their characters have such enticing personalities, and i loved reading from both of their points of view. the spice, in typical elle kennedy fashion, was sprinkled in at all the right moments and was very good (obvi). i would’ve read this is one day except my family kept saying i had to take breaks #rude. if you’ve read elle kennedy before and/or you like cutesy summer books, read this NOW.

ps: i cannot stand victoria in the slightest. like i genuinely despise her. also i love lydia. queen of grandmothers. and i do really like gemma despite what happens in the third act, i understand where she was coming from and she just wanted to protect her heart.

I really struggled with what to rate this instalment. I loved it until the last 90% and then was supremely angered by the treatment of cheating (via a side storyline not MCs) and what I perceived as stereotypical depictions of men and women. I had dropped it down significantly, but had to take in everything before that point, which was pretty great. It did feel significantly more rushed to me though.
