I liked this book because it had a good amount of story and spice. I appreciated the ending as well because it had a bit of an unpredictability to it. I definitely look forward to reading more of the series.

I swear all of the books from the Avalon Bay series are just perfect summer reads and The Summer Girl is no exception. This is book 3 in the series, but each book follows a different couple, so they can be read as standalones (but then you will miss out on all of the amazing characters so I don’t recommend skipping any of the books

This was my favorite one of the Avalon Bay series!! Cassie is very relatable! Cassie and Tate are just perfect!! Cassie’s mom SUCKS so be prepared to hate her!!! I literally could not put this book down! Highly recommend this series!!! It was *chefs kiss*!

A story between a 20yo in her final year of college/university looking for a relaxed summer fling and an early 20s man working for his family's business who loves sailing.
The writing connects the reader to the emotional journey these two characters are going on.
I appreciated how they didn't necessarily heal or 'fix' what's wrong with each other, but were a support and sounding board so that they each worked on things they needed to individually.
The drama towards the end didn't feel forced and matched the character development throughout the story.
The scene at the windows!

Very aggressively meh. Like I started reading it months ago, started reading something else and just totally forgot about it. Didn’t hate it but didn’t really love Tate as a MMC and I found Cassie to be just a little too naive. I usually really enjoy Elle Kennedy’s books so this might just be a miss for me.
