I really love and enjoy this series so much. I can't pick a favorite out of the 3 available. They all spoke to be in different ways. Perfect summer reads! ☀️ ❤️ Elle Kennedy continues to give me books that feed my soul

Easy to read palette cleanser. I got a little bored about 75% in but then the story took a dark turn that surprised me. The dark twist brought the rating up half a star for sure, purely for adding in the drama and layers to the characters.
HEA ending but I appreciated that not every relationship/situation worked itself out perfectly. Seemed much more realistic that way.
Book probably could’ve been an hour or so shorter… like I don’t care that one dog jumps up and one is polite and waits her turn. I don’t care if the step mom likes the pet turtle. There were just some descriptions that I felt could’ve been edited out and I found myself frustratingly mouthing “WHOOOO CARESSSS!”
The characters and storyline reads like a YA with spice, which is off putting to me. Main characters are 20 (turns 21) and 23. But it’s more the story that seems YA.
Will I continue with the series? Meh. Probably not.
Would I recommend it? Yeah for an easy fluff read.
Although check your triggers… body shaming, child loss (brief mentions not to main character) and a mega toxic mother-daughter relationship in which mom is a manipulative narcissist. Oh and the FMC confronts her feelings that she never dealt with regarding her parent’s divorce. That was pretty raw.
