This was a very "sweet" romance, basically a Hallmark movie. For me, it was a bit distracting because the language was so polished that it didn't feel realistic to me. The dialogue overall, gets pretty mechanical at times and there wasn't very much chemistry between the leads.
That being said, you did see why they should be together and why they match up nicely. I also liked how there were legitimate obstacles to them being together. Not only were they involved with other people, but they had careers in different states. There was some miscommunication but it was fairly minimal, so that was great.
I also liked the bookshop and how you got to watch them build it and fix it up. It felt very cozy and was a perfect easy-type of read.
