Scout Upton works hard at her job running the House of Payne, that is why when she has time off she takes it. Ivar Fournier has been relentless in his pursuit of trying to get a behind the scenes look at House of Payne, but Scout had been burned before when she let someone else in and she wont repeat that mistake again. Ivar has other ideas, he is intrigued by Scout and when she finally gives in to the attraction she doesn't know that Ivar was interested in her for a different reason altogether. Can she put her trust in a man who met her under a web of lies?

Scout is a handful, I have liked her in every story and she does not disappoint in this one. Ivar is charismatic but has some major secrets that could destroy everything he is building with Scout. Very unexpected story, was not expecting the twists in this one.
