This book was pretty good, if a little cliché. I would have given this book 5 stars if it hadn't taken so long to get a bit of action going. Otherwise it provided a decent wrap-up of the story that started two books ago and I do hope there are at least some short stories set sometime in the future with these characters.

No surprises here, really, in the conclusion to the trilogy. There are more blasphmeres, more strigoi, more Sanguinists and more cameos from Famous Historical People. The main reason to keep reading is less about the Three of Prophecy and more about Elizabeth Bathory, the Blood Countess of infamy and legend. She is - to my mind - the most interesting character here. Oh, and the lion cub. Another reason to continue to read.

If you liked the first two you'll like this one as well.

I can't believe this turned out to be only a trilogy.

Crap. I'm going to miss them. Great characters and a really good story.

This entire trilogy was amazing. Love the combination of history, fantasy, religion. It makes for an enthralling read.

Wow what a finale! The first book in this trilogy had me hooked from the very first chapter. This final instalment definitely went out with a bang. There was, however, lots of extra cheese with this one. They amped it up with the romance and drama this round. I was happy, but found myself rolling my eyes a bit at some parts. All in all, this was a fun trilogy and I enjoyed it - I’ll miss the Sanguines!
