This book dragged a lot and I had to force myself to finish it. I’m not sure if it was a poor translation or if I just didn’t like the writing style, but I found this book to be all “tell” and no “show”. I didn’t connect with the characters very much and found them to be stilted and their dialogue very robotic. Unfortunately, not a hit for me.

this was such a cozy book. I loved how while reading this book I seemed to slow down while reading like the characters had to with their pottery. I loved that through their shared space of pottery the characters demons and trauma started to heal. I immediately added this to my buy list since I read a library copy. if your struggling with slowly down or even finding a purpose in life I reccomend this book.

I’m disappointed to DNF this one. I really thought I was going to like it based on all the highlighting I did in the first few chapters. But mid-book I just fell out of the story. I never DNF this late in a book but I couldn’t push on anymore.
