I'm re-reading books 10-13 in preparation for the final volume, since I've forgotten too much of what has happened. This book was really one of my least favorite in the series, mainly because it barely touches on each group of main characters, and hardly advances the plot at all.

Still, it's part of the grand saga, so it's not like you can skip it!

First re-read: I'm fairly certain past Memo was drunk because what is that about 3.5?? This book is very obviously a 5/5 and I won't hear anything that says otherwise. There are some great character moments here for every POV and this might be the entry with the most jokes in the entire series; it is absolutely hilarious!

So yes, clearly this book gets a perfect score.

Better than Winter's Heart. Mat + Tuon is so cute, and Master Underhill used as a fake name was a highlight for this book!

Nou ik heb me door WoT 10 heen geploeterd. En dacht tot de laatste regel ok ik ga hierna iets anders lezen. Maar dan is er toch weer zo'n enorme cliffhanger!

Not much of import actually happened in this book, so many plot lines are teased or straight-up ignored; It's like so much happened but didn't at the same time?

This book seems like it was meant to set stuff up for the upcoming books but kinda struggled at that role (especially when considering how large this book is)

I didn't entirely dislike the book though, some parts were fairly interesting such as Matt and Egwene's (generally) chapters.

Excited to see what follows despite this.
