The prose was better than in Angels and Demons, though that could be just because I read this one in English. Silas was a better and more interesting villain than the assassin previously. On the negative side, I felt that there was less of the solving of mysteries and the last 100 pages or so kinda fell flat.

National Treasure goes to the Louvre. Shenanigans ensue. Lots of fun to be had. Only gripe: the author makes a point to state all research info is true and factual before the book even starts, and within the first 50 pages an academic claim is made that is easily debunked :
the claim regarding Venus and the Olympics

Therefore it lessens the impact of any other “factual claims” asserted by the author. But even considering this, the book is a rapid page turner.
