This was a very tense book with very graphic subject matter. The main character clearly has a lot of troubles, and the book ends on a fairly happy note, which was unexpected. The violence is surprisingly limited. I also found it strange how calm everyone is about the whole hostage situation.
Graphic: Bullying and Mass/school shootings
Moderate: Sexual content

The book was well written and pretty disturbing. The whole book is from the POV of a teenager who has experienced trauma and is about a school shooting situation. I can understand why it was pulled from the shelves in the 90s, and although it was before Columbine, thats what I kept thinking about while reading. Definite content warning all around for this book.
