An ok book from King, not my favourite from him, but an interesting story from the beginning of his bibliography.

I am not sure why this book receives so much criticism for the writing. This was well written for a short story. The way King conveys the main character’s perspective was fantastic. A good preview into the mind of what can create a villain.

Just about as wacky as the rest of the Bachman books

Rage isn’t as bad as I expected but it’s not great either. I never found myself bored and I was curious where the story would lead.

Some of the language is juvenile and cringy but I think King genuinely wanted to discuss why traumatised teenagers commit horrific acts.

Even if it’s misguided and implausible, Rage is entertaining and doesn’t deserve complete derision.
