I am torn between 3 and 4 on this book but I am going to give it a 4 because it hits you in the feels the way I crave literature to do.
I have an uncle who I am extremely close with and gained a strong relationship with him while I was young. This book follows a similar journey with a young man and his uncle through ghost hunting, as they form a bond around similar interests. In my example, the interest was music, but the journey felt extremely similar and therefore aided in my desire to read on.
There is not much to not like here if you are a fan of horror (think vanilla like some of King's tamest works) or just a good short read that centers around the human condition. Craig did a great job showing the span of relationship from childhood to adulthood while keeping you guessing and also crying.
Because the book is so short I will keep this short as well: if you like familial journeys and are a fan of things like goonies or stand by me, you will like this (stranger things can be thrown in there as well).

Very good, but I wish the ending could have been developed a bit further. As it currently stands, it feels like there are large plot developments, and then the book ends, but i feel as though it could have benefitted from having more time to exist in the ending.

I was not expecting this book to hit so hard! Wow, it was incredible. Amazing writing and storytelling, perfect character development. I am feeling so many emotions. Read it!

This wasn't what I expected at all based on the title and blurb on the back. However, I wound up really appreciating the story as it unfolded and I think that's part of why the details on the back were blurry. It was such a touching story, and I really loved the characters.
