Basically an anti-new money treatise. I appreciate the author’s unwillingness to buy into the tech utopia nonsense being shipped out by the San Franciscans. But I also found myself frustrated with what seemed like a very specific axe to grind. I’d like to think we can avoid the hype while still appreciating the decent things created.

Personally I found it to be such a nice introduction for exploring the consequences of having the loser tech billionaires running shit and how it affects and bleeds into other aspects of society. I liked that he basically used the apocalyptic backdrop as the introduction for the book as the rest of it was so much heavier and quite serious. This ate what else can I say.

Interesting perspective. Definitely took some weird turns, but an interesting read nonetheless. Don't quite get why the Green New Deal bashing (makes me think he doesn't quite understand it, as he critiques it as if it was just an expansion of spending for spending's sake) or the solar energy bashing, and there were a few more of these rather odd takes.
