Everyone should read this- a whole lot of common sense that you just don't think about from day to busy day. Don't really care for the illustrated version- looking for the original to purchase and keep with my cookbooks!

Pretty basic- it's a flushed-out version of Pollan's saying "Eat food, mostly plants, not too much"- but there are some helpful light-hearted reminders.

Mostly rehashed things we've heard from him before (and repeated itself a lot, with different variations on the same rule), but it's very good advice and simple enough to toss at friends so they can page through.

Good, informative little book. Most of it appeared to be from "In Defense of Food", which I read earlier this year. Now, if only it was as easy to eat this way, as it is to read this tiny book.

Pollan is one of these people that we hear quite a lot about these days, I told myself "well, I should read something he wrote", but I didn't choose that well. One rule per page, one paragraph per rule - meh. It'll teach me to be more careful about what I put on my Kindle app. Also, I thought the "rules" in the title was a verb and not a noun - that would have been a better book, probably :)

I love this book. I read it years ago, and gave it a reread recently. Such sage advice in perfect bite-sized nuggets of goodness.

I also love Michael Pollan's writing style and they way he breaks down complex things like nutrition into really accessible, understandable, enjoyable text.

Michael Pollan condenses some of his food advice into some quick and easy rules to follow when you are eating out or buying groceries. Really good advice.

I was hoping this was going to be something new, but it was just a watered-down version of In Defense of Food. It was still a good refresher, though.

A fun, common-sense, easy read that will be useful in both my life and also when working with clients.

There isn’t anything new here, but the author makes clear and simple points that are easy to remember and use in my real life food choices.
