This book was agonizingly slow. It is definitely more suited to fans of slow-burn suspense novels and not thrillers. I did enjoy it and the ending, however, it did seem a little too neatly wrapped up. I would have enjoyed a messier ending for this one.

Holly’s husband is killed in a hit and run accident and she’s being paid to keep information about the accident a secret. However, is it much of a secret when several people know about it?

The story is told from multiple perspectives and goes back and forth in time, primarily the present and three months prior, although there are some additional time changes. It’s not hard to follow once you get into it but took me a half a second when I started.

Overall I thought it was a decent book. It’s definitely an interesting concept although nothing surprised me so I wasn’t shocked or surprised.

This book really kept my attention! I thoroughly enjoyed the twisting plot and multiple POVs across 2 separate timelines. That kind of storyline keeps you guessing along with the characters and even allows you to know what other characters don’t yet, which I think adds to the suspense. Great plot that is could plausibly happen in real life. Truly enjoyable - highly recommend!
