Lo he leído varias veces y siempre me vuelve a enganchar.

HARRY POTTER!!!!

Nagging question: how did Harry not recognise Snape's writing all over the book? Surely it can't have changed THAT much? #plotdevice

Dumbledoor's death

one of my favorite books in the series! i just really love the hogwarts school life (in the same sort of style as the fifth book) mixed with the looming threat of the second wizarding war. you'd think this book was supposed to act as filler before the final showdown but there's SO much going on—friendships, romance, backstories, and the best decision to have luna commentating for quidditch

this book is a much darker shift from the fifth book and you can feel how scared the magical community is from voldemort's return. we don't even see voldemort in a tangible form here but his presence is so overwhelming. we get the news articles of people going missing or dying, shops boarded up in diagon alley, and dumbledore's memories of tom riddle throughout the years that made him even more terrifying of a villain. he's brought to life even though we don't see the present him in the story

speaking of dumbledore,, i KNEW it was coming but his death still broke me :( it's the way harry couldn't do anything and had to watch his greatest mentor die before him and the way draco's determination was wavering as soon as he disarmed dumbledore

The series finally got back on track for me and kept me hooked
