A fun little adventure to read when you don't really feel like reading.

congratulations! this book took my 'one star review' virginity.

One of the best suspense novel(la)s I've read- a truly wonderful read. Nicely paced and well tied up at the end. I think I'll come back to this book many a time. (I can't quite understand the low rating- I think if you come across this book you should definitely give it a read)

tedious

Simple, almost surgical in its prose style, tale of murder and espionage in pre-war England. An excellent novel, exciting and fun.

Unfortunately I really didn’t enjoy that at all, walking from pillar to post meeting different people. None of which added anything to the story, perhaps there was a major point that I missed?

It started extremely promisingly then along with the protagonist I got lost also.

But I’ve learned not to waste my time on books I don’t enjoy, if it’s not gripping my from the first chapter? It’s not getting read, I need to learn to set it down move away and accept that my OCD is going to be battered a little.
