This book gave me all the feels. It was thicc and chonky and introduced new characters (Maeve, Rowan, Aedion, Sorscha, Manon, and others) and expanded upon Celaena's world in a good way. I enjoyed her character development and seeing her learn to shift and harness her powers. I also was glad to keep up with Dorian and Chaol.

I'm not gonna lie, I was rooting for Celaena and Rowan at first (I love enemies to lovers), but not everything is about romance and their healing friendship and carranam was great to see evolve over time as well.

This part made me cry:
