It was a tad bit slow and if you werent a completionist, maybe you'd stop halfway and throw the book away. The pace DID quicken like 3/4 of the way through. I feel like maybe I wasn't fully appreciating the writing style of the book at the beginning.. It's either that or it was just a bit.. uninteresting. I don't want to say boring because it was okay to read but it felt a bit flat. The characters were definitely complex but I just couldn't fit it all together until halfway. Again, that could just be me not being able to appreciate the book for the way it was written. Cried at the end though! I didn't expect it and my heart kinda dropped :(
Would maybe read again but most likely would pass it along to someone else :)

This one hit a little close to home for me with an aimless, drunken 30 year old drifting through life.

Very quotable, some questions asked throughout the book had me thinking and have since endlessly annoyed coworkers with these questions.

He manages to find love, obviously loses it, a few more sad things happen and then the ending is quite devastating. .

5/5 definitely recommend
