I would recommend this Italian "classic".  It was worth my time.  Despite the setting and time period, the themes are universal and relatable.

The title should've been a giveaway, but I was not expecting that ending. Maybe it's just me, but it didn't seem like a natural progression from feeling depressed, and a little lost in your 30s. Again, it might just be me, but that ending seemed like a massive leap.

i LOVED the writing and the atmosphere, only thing i didn't like is the male perspective on women; they felt stereotypical and overly emotional and hysterical

A lot of self-sabotage going on with the characters. I don’t know… didn’t really make me feel much but I can see the appeal in the writing.
