This is the second Nick Cutter book I’ve read and I will say it is soooo much better than the first. What a ride! I really enjoyed reading this, it was heartbreaking and scary! I love that it was written mostly in the boys point of view because they have such an interesting outlook on the situation. I also love at the end when max says something about wanting to tell the other guys that adults don’t know what the hell is going on because I remember when I came to that conclusion as well. It is frightening to realize that the people that have cared for you and you look up to really are just clueless.

If the movies, Slither and Stand By Me had a baby….this would be it! This book had the most descriptive writing style that made you envision exactly what was happening. I mean what a way to awaken the senses?! It was disgusting and crazy good! I gotta give Nick Cutter 5 stars for making me put my snacks down while reading!!
