Fuck you Shelley.

holy shit!!!

This was so viscerally creepy and the narrator did an unbelievable job, big Lord of the Flies vibes. Big no for me on the animal abuse though, could actually feel my skin crawling during those scenes. But also can’t believe there wasn’t any cannibalism??

JUSTICE FOR NEWTON

My rating system:
5 Stars - Fabtastic! Would re-read.
4 Stars - Fantastic but wouldn’t re-read.
3 Stars - Neutral
2 Stars - Didn’t really enjoy but wanted to finish the story. The cover roped me in.
1 Stars - DNF

This book was so refreshing to start the spooky season with. It was very descriptive with what all was going on. You got to experience the bonding…or not so bonding of the boys in the troop.

Couldn’t put it down!

Read this book in one sitting! This book made my skin crawl in all the right ways. Curl up on a rainy day and read this, you won’t regret it.

WILD. 100% wild. Been dipping my toe into horror and this felt like a deep end dive.
dark medium-paced

I am convinced I read a different book than the masses because this wasn’t scary? I will admit that I have a degree in science and, living in the US, know that the government would do the type of shit that this government did, BUT I wasn’t in the least bit impressed with this book? I think the scariest part was that the worm was behind the kids eye…. I just…. I read the Deep, I remember it vividly and I can’t help but be disappointed here.
