WILD. 100% wild. Been dipping my toe into horror and this felt like a deep end dive.

I am convinced I read a different book than the masses because this wasn’t scary? I will admit that I have a degree in science and, living in the US, know that the government would do the type of shit that this government did, BUT I wasn’t in the least bit impressed with this book? I think the scariest part was that the worm was behind the kids eye…. I just…. I read the Deep, I remember it vividly and I can’t help but be disappointed here.

"How could you hide from a murderer who lives under your skin?"

I have been on a search for a horror novel that shook me to my core. I have been seeing this book so much I had to give it a read. I wouldn't say this was horror but it definitely made me uneasy. I never thought I would feel sympathy for a spider the way I did. Fair warning this book does have very graphic scenes of animal abuse/torture. BTW f**k Shelly! Deadly diseases have always been my biggest fear and this book just proved to me why. I did get some small Stephen King vibes especially with the banter of the characters in the beginning. Overall I felt it was a good read, fast paced, and full of gore. I was originally going to rate it 3 stars but as I was eating sushi I started thinking about this book, wondering what if I just consumed a worm and made myself sick so it definitely stuck with me!

This book is disturbing and disgusting, truly like a bad car wreck that you can't look away from. In the end it was something special and I read it faster than many other books. Couldn't put it down. First novel from Cutter that I've read but looking forward to reading more from him.

This was disgusting and I loved it

This tapped into one of my childhood fears that I won’t spoil here, but I was very excited when I realized the type of horror this was exploring. Really cool premise. I think the writing here could be better, but I think it’s a solid horror book.

Not for the faint of heart. This book was rough. Very gory and graphic. I almost stopped reading several times, but I needed to know how it ended.
