Lost points straight away for looking like it was a school assignment an d not a book and more points for having no page numbers, you may not judge a book by its cover, but you can judge bh the ease of reading and no page numbers and an amateur look to the book don't help - and then it was quite boring.
Oh, dear. I honestly do not understand why this book gets such high ratings. The typos, comma splices, and missing punctuation drove me to distraction. The story is decent, but the author desperately needs an editor.

This was an OK mystery. A retired policeman and his dog are traveling around England to enjoy classic English culinary classics. While making pork pies he stumbles across a crime. With the help of some locals they set out to solve it. The mystery was OK but it was easy to solve. I did not really warm up the characters. It was a quick read.
Fun caper
The book definitely gives you a sense of place, and makes you crave pork pies. The young characters seem to act uncharacteristically mature, but the occasional dog’s eye view is entertaining.
