5 years ago Savvy was murdered and everyone is convinced that her best friend, Lucy, is to blame. Lucy wants to defend herself, but she can't remember anything about that night. Now a true crime podcaster is determined to discover the truth, and Lucy is determined to prove her innocence as she pieces together what happened that night.
So I did overall enjoy this book, but it is far from the groundbreaking thriller that I was anticipating. Sometimes these super popular thrillers live up to the hype, and other times they don't. This wasn't a bad book, but it really wasn't special either.... It was fast-paced and I will never tire of the true crime podcast trope. While I did suspect quite a few characters at the beginning, I guessed the killer relatively early on and there weren't many shocking twists in this one. My biggest complaint is that I thought the voice inside Lucy's head was SO CORNY, but I did this as an audio so maybe it would have felt less corny written on a page? Overall, I think I was expecting more, but I still had a good time listening to this one!
