Fantastic sequel. I can't wait to read more from this author. :-)
This book was really good but I was Raffe was in it more!
It was good. Full of action and Paige's story was highlighted and explained... But I missed Raffee badly during the first half of the book. And I still like how their relations with Penryn develop...
This sequel was utterly disappointing.... and treatment of the humans is way too disturbing. Not sure I'll keep going...
Honestly, I liked this one better than the first one. Yes, it moves more slowly and doesn't really have a clear plot or finish- but it's the middle book! Middle books are bound to be somewhat awkward. The humor, the witty bantering between Penryn and Raffy those got so much better in this book than they were in the first.
Penryn continues to kick ass and she does it all by herself for atleast 2/3rds of the book. I loved how the sword is thinking and trains her to fight. I loved even more that it's name is Pooky Bear. I definitely laughed out loud at that part. I've read a good amount of romances this year- but it's been several books or more since I've had scenes that really resonated with me. I got that feeling in this book- that "ugughhghghhhh gushing" feeling.
This whole book feels like I love my sister and if you touch her or hurt her you will die and that's pretty cool. The mom is so interesting to me, though I wonder how much Susan Ee really knows about mental diseases. Ahhh! Whatever, I liked this book.

I didn’t like this as much when Penryn and Raffe we’re apart. I think they’re a great duo, and most of the good action happens when they’re together. There was still some great stuff that happened when they were apart, but we get most of the banter and stuff from these two so I think that’s just what makes it better.
I love that the heroine in this isn’t perfect. She has a love hate thing with her family and doesn’t always stick around to save the day. That doesn’t usually happen and it’s kinda nice to see, even if at times Penryn is quite cold and heartless it also makes sense with her family’s history at times.
I do feel it could have been a tiny bit shorter, but I also don’t know what you’d cut out.
Hopefully I finish this series by the end of the year but with my track record probably not lol

1000 stars for Ee's mad plotting skillz, minus 998 stars for plot's dreary hetero- and cisnormativity.
Well, I'm affraid this book suffered from the Second Book Syndrom... For me it has nothing on Angelfall.
It took me a long time to get through the first 300 pages (I won't spoil) but the ended was kind of worth the wait.

The ending was really intense and confusing leaving allot of questions, but i have never felt so content finishing a book!
