hmm...entahlah tp menurutku kok msh lebih seru buku pertamanya ya. Walau gk berarti buku ke 2 ini gk seru. Penryn kehilangan Paige lagi, dan diceritakan apa yg terjadi pd Paige setelah dia diambil oleh malaikat bersayap api.
Raffe baru muncul stlh lebih dari separuh buku, patut ditunggu kok reunian Raffe sm Penryn, tp jgn berharap romance2 mendayu-dayu ya krn mereka bahkan (menurut aturan) gk bisa bersama, tp menghiburlah moment2 mereka berdua. Yah, setdknya ak terhibur.
Level kesadisan bleh... i don't even want to imagine what's described in th book.
Sayang penerbitnya gk menerbitkan buku terakhirnya. Pdhl seri ini termasuk bagus kl dibanding seri hush hush atau fallen atau halo.

You know that scene where Raffe and Penryn lock eyes and he realizes that's her? We heard the song "Hungry Eyes" not long after reading that part aloud and omg. We cracked up. We really need a Dirty Dancing/Angelfall crossover with lots of dance fighting now.
I love this book so much. I love Penryn's family, how little she even has to do with Raffe in book 2 as she just fights for them to survive and to understand Paige. The whole series is one of my all-time favorites and it's just fun to re-read. Sure would be a great TV series!

I love this book so much. I love Penryn's family, how little she even has to do with Raffe in book 2 as she just fights for them to survive and to understand Paige. The whole series is one of my all-time favorites and it's just fun to re-read. Sure would be a great TV series!

- Ever entertaining, loyal, Wesley-vibe giving, set of "Tweedle" Twins
- Deceitful (supposedly) "heavenly" angels
- A mother with Schizophrenia who is suddenly the low key savior her daughter was always longing for. EMPHASIS on lowkey. The outside world is suddenly mirroring the world her mind has created, & when it stopped making sense to the entire population, it began making sense to her.
She is one of my absolute favorite characers *ever*. Not because of an unrealistic look at a very complicated mental illness, but because of the MC's inner dialogue ABOUT said mental illness; i.e. the complicated relationship she is always trying to manage with her mother, her conflicting emotions most often anger mixed with guilt, her duty to protect her sister etc.
So good.

I'm a pretty big fan of Angelfall and this is a wonderful sequel, but I give four instead of five stars because there's more world building than there is interaction. I think there's probably enough dialogue to fill a total of three chapters out of 50 chapters. Great book, but reading so much about the apocalypse with no Raffe was a bit of a drag :(

I really enjoyed being in Peyryn's head listening to her thoughts and observations unfold. It was amazing how quickly the book progressed even thought not alot seemed to happen. I found the scorpions freaky and Beliel's treatment of children, particularly Peyryn's sister, horrifying. Once again there was the cliffhanger ending leaving us all waiting for book 3!
