DID NOT FINISH

Um it was fun but I was trying to make myself read the Powerbroker and ending up returning it to the library. I’ll probably come back for it someday…

Really glad I got around to reading this, Hugo is a king of the Romantic era for a reason. Will exclusively be referring to this as it’s proper French title of Notre Dame de Paris and judging everyone who calls it by its bastardized name The Hunchback because I’m a pompous ass. Finally, and most importantly, anytime Hugo leaves the plot of the story to go on a 30 page tangent about the architectural/ legal / geographical history of the city of Paris >>>>>>> #LetMyKingCook

I grew up with the Disney version of this novel. Little did I know how tragic the story would be. Some chapters are hard to finish because Victor loves architecture and Paris and rambles. Other than that, I loved the story and the characters.
